This section contains pictures, information and links concerning old woodworking tools. I've stuck them here as a reference to some of the things that interest me. As there are so many good woodworking tool sites on the internet, this will always be basic.
Before the second world war it seems that nearly all good tools used in the UK were either made here or in the US. Stanley, who is probably the most popular tool maker, was based in New Britain Connecticut, although later on production started up in the UK.
